Printify Design Checker: Bella+Canvas 3001 Front Print

Printify sells many blank products, each with its own print area. This preset covers one of the most common, the Bella+Canvas 3001 t-shirt front print, at 4500 × 5100 pixels and 300 DPI. A file smaller than the print area is scaled up and prints soft.

Drop your design into the tool above. The validator measures it against the preset, checks transparency and safe margins, flags colours that print badly and exports a print-ready PNG. Print areas differ between products and print providers, and Printify updates them, so confirm yours on the product page or set it as a Custom canvas.

POD Print Validator

A print pre-flight tool for print-on-demand designers. Drop in up to 50 designs and it checks each one against a platform's real specs (Merch by Amazon, Printify, Printful, posters, mugs, phone cases, KDP covers) for resolution, safe margins, bleed, transparency and CMYK gamut, then exports print-ready files. Every pixel stays on your machine.

What it measures

Resolution is read from your file's real pixel size divided by the product's physical print size, giving the effective DPI along the limiting axis: the number the printer sees. Safe-margin checks trace your artwork's actual content and test whether it clears the safe zone. Transparency scans the alpha channel for a solid background and for the soft-edge “halo” that dirties a cut-out.

Runs in your browser

Decoding, alpha scanning, background removal, DPI compositing and DPI stamping run locally, with the heavy pixel work in a Web Worker so the batch stays responsive. Your artwork is never uploaded, which matters when designs are your inventory. Exports are built and zipped in the browser too.

Frequently asked questions

What size is the Bella+Canvas 3001 front print area on Printify?
The preset checks a 4500 × 5100 pixel canvas at 300 DPI, which is 15 × 17 inches. Print areas can differ between print providers and Printify revises them, so check the product page for the area your provider uses, or enter it as a Custom canvas.
Does a larger file print better?
Only up to a point. A file at the print area's pixel size and 300 DPI has enough detail, and going far beyond it adds file size without adding visible sharpness. Going below it means the file is scaled up, and the DPI check reports by how much.
Does this connect to my Printify store?
No. It never contacts Printify and needs no store connection. It checks a file you drop in, locally, and gives you a print-ready export to upload yourself.
Is my design uploaded anywhere to be checked?
No. The whole check runs in your browser and the file is never uploaded. Previewing and checking need no account; an account is needed only to spend tokens when you download the result.
